A Day in the Life

I've been spending an inordinate amount of time downloading music. Trying to get full albums by the likes of Cat Power and Lauryn Hill.

Alright, I've been sending out resumes. But how am I not to take it personally when, the day after my last interview, I wake up, check Mediabistro, and see the job I just interviewed for, posted again. Am I paranoid? Not thick-skinned enough?

So I spend my time climbing walls, trying to get free music, doing stuff like entering a phone number for my dog on my cellphone, and considering myself part of the unemployed and creatively challenged masses. I also try and pilfer as much free stuff as I can, including street finds, food giveaways (gourmet food stores are great for this, plus macy's cellar). i have a mortgage now AND a real poverty complex.

The last two interviews I see as opportunities--for me to showcase how rusty my interviewing skills are.

About me

Well, it's almost October and one of the shittiest summers on record for me has been endured. I've been unemployed since April, when I got fired right after we bought a house, have been undergoing major vocational confusion, and been confined to the house due to a new puppy, who was peeing on the floor to beat the band.

However, on the plus side, we have a house, we have a darling little doggy, and, by eating tunafish straight out of the can, have been able to get our finances ship-shape.

So there's alot to talk about.
